• Summary

    Jeffrey Cohen, a native Angelino and avid chess-player, practices in the primary areas of Commercial/Business Litigation, Bankruptcy/Creditor’s Rights, Employment, Healthcare Litigation, and Real Estate Litigation in state and federal court for bench and jury trials. He also has substantial experience in the areas of loan and leasing workouts, receiverships, bankruptcy planning, estate litigation and tort law.

    In addition to representing private business and real estate clients, Mr. Cohen has served the public while working for the Tax Division of the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., where he was involved in a broad range of tax litigation issues. Mr. Cohen is experienced in FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority of securities broker-dealers) and securities litigation. Epps & Coulson, LLP calls on Mr. Cohen to assist clients on these and related client litigation matters where his expertise proves helpful to a strategic outcome.

    Mr. Cohen was admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California in December 1996.

    Mr. Cohen is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley in 1992, where he received a degree in Pure Mathematics, with Departmental High Honors. He received her Juris Doctor Degree in 1996 from the University of California, Hastings College of Law, where he was a member of the Hastings Civil Justice Clinic.
