Joshua (Josh) Pierce graduated from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in May 2016. During his time in law school, Josh received numerous accolades, including the Center for Global Legal Studies Certificate, Pro Bono Certificate, and several semesters being named on the Dean’s Academic Honors List. He also participated in a study abroad program at Zhejiang University in China during the Summer of 2014. Prior to law school, he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of San Diego in June 2004, where he excelled as a student-athlete on the football team, earning All-Conference Honors.
Josh’s professional journey spans various roles in legal and compliance sectors. Before joining Epps & Coulson, LLP, he worked as a Non-Profit Contract Analyst, ensuring compliance with grantor guidelines and enhancing reporting processes. He has also served as a Corporate Compliance Analyst, where his legal research and communication skills significantly contributed to business growth. Additionally, Josh has gained valuable experience working as a law clerk, focusing on commercial regulations and providing crucial support to legal teams in multiple capacities.
Beyond his professional achievements, Josh is deeply committed to community service. As a Community Panelist for the San Diego District Attorney’s Community Youth Court, he played a key role in restorative justice efforts, helping first-time juvenile offenders avoid further legal repercussions. He also co-led the Crawford Law Institute and Mentorship Bond (CLIMB), inspiring at-risk youth interested in the legal profession, and presently sits on the United Neighborhood Neighbors Counsel (UNNC) governing board. Conversational in Japanese and basic Spanish skills, Josh is dedicated to using his legal expertise and community involvement to create a positive impact in the legal field and beyond.
