Maya has a Bachelor’s of Science in Biomedical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach. Before working in law, Maya did research and has publications in the Journal of Experimental Biology and American Society of Mechanical Engineers. She also spent years in the non-profit sector giving back to the community by affiliating with organizations such as Mother Theresa’s Missionaries of Charities. Maya will soon complete an ABA approved Paralegal Certificate from Cerritos College in December 2024 and work full-time as a paralegal. She hopes to keep gaining experience in the law field and become a lawyer in intellectual property.
