He represents clients in high-stakes and complex civil litigation, including contract disputes, real estate litigation, business torts, and employment matters. His corporate and real estate practice includes U.S. and cross-border acquisitions and dispositions, asset sales, restructurings, financings, business formation, corporate governance matters, and a wide variety of real estate transactions encompassing retail, office, multifamily, and other commercial properties, as well as healthcare facilities.
Mr. Courey is admitted to the State Bar of California, the Bar of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and the Bar of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.
Mr. Courey is an active member of the Honorable Benjamin Aranda III American Inn of Court. He lives in the South Bay with his wife, Thania, and two daughters.

Mr. Courey graduated with a J.D. and Certificate in Business Law from USC Gould School of Law. He graduated with a B.A., magna cum laude, from Loyola Marymount University, where he majored in Classical Civilizations and minored in Ancient Greek.
