Vanessa Koui focuses her practice in the areas of General Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions, Commercial Contracts, and Employment, and Commercial Litigation. Before joining Epps & Coulson,  LLP, Vanessa served as in-house counsel in Paris where she focused on Commercial Contracts and Corporate Law, and advising the public companies on commercial transactions, corporate governance matters and regulatory compliance. Vanessa is licensed to practice law in New York.

Vanessa has a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Business and Economic Law from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where she also earned a Transnational Business and Law Certificate.  She previously earned a Master’s Degree in Business Law from the University of Perpignan in France.

Vanessa is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and an active member of the French Association of Corporate Lawyers (AFJE), a leading professional organization of in-house lawyers in France and Europe.  As a Board Member of Schola Nation, Vanessa advocates for access to education, equity, and inclusion for children in Ivory Coast (Côte d’Ivoire), aiming to build a nation of scholars. She also volunteers at the the Small Business Development section of Bet Tzedek, providing legal services to small business owners in Los Angeles.
